If you want to grow in your skills in singing popular and contemporary styles of music, you have come to the right place! If you aspire to be a singer- guitarist or singer songwriter, Julie will teach you the skills to get on that path. If you sing in a church choir or praise team, are a Christian artist (or parent of one)? Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Please join Julie’s private studio. She strives to inspire the best from each student, recognizing their unique gifts and developing needed skills. Beginners to professionals of all ages come to Julie to reach their musical potential.

Kaiwen Z. (college student)

“Julie is an awesome teacher. She values vocal health a lot and went through all those vocal cord protection tips that I wish I could have known earlier. She also emphasizes expressiveness. I used to sing classical pieces so her jazz background gave me a lot of fun experiences. Overall my experience is fantastic. She’s a very qualified teacher and I feel comfortable singing with her.”

James J. (professional vocalist)

“I make my living as a singer, but I’ve picked up several bad vocal habits over the years I wanted to correct. Julie has helped me identify several of these in the couple of months I’ve been working with her and things have been going great!”

Paul G. (professional voice student)

“I have been taking voice lessons from Julie Kinscheck for over three years now and am very pleased with her as a teacher. I have a very busy schedule as a manager and she has been very flexible in making the lessons happen. These lessons have built my confidence and inspired me to perform more often because of my growth as a singer. I enjoy singing in the regular student recitals. I appreciate her patience helping me to learn to read music, improve my breath support, tone and more. She also has a good listening ear when I need to talk. She motivates me to want to practice to be my best. I also see that she is an excellent role model for her younger students, always willing to expand her own horizons by learning and then teaching them songs which they want to perform. She genuinely cares about her students and takes a personal interest in their lives. You can tell she has a passion for teaching. I highly recommend her!”

Vitali V. (parent)

“Julie is a great teacher. Her love of singing and playing guitar is contagious. My daughter enjoys her lessons with Julie and makes great progress with her guitar playing.”

Leena B. (parent)

“Julie is an awesome voice teacher. My 9 yr old daughter has grown to love music very much after taking lessons with Julie. Her voice has become professional and she had gained much confidence to perform solo in many concerts. I am very happy that we found Julie.”

Matthew L. (vocal student)

“She started by talking about my specific goals and making sure I understood how the voice works, which is crucial in any instrument especially singing. She was always professional and I made progress every lesson. In just the few lessons we had I gained confidence, improved my enunciation, my accuracy, my comfortable range, and the length of time I can sing without straining my voice. I’ll miss having lessons with her, and definitely recommend her.”

It’s a fun and exciting season! -And an easy time to blow out our voices!…most of us know how much sleep we need to feel good. I need at least 7 hours…. and if I get less than 6 hours of sleep over more than 3 days in a row, I start to really flag. My voice gets more phlegmy; I don’t support as well and my posture is droopier…
