This is SUPER EXCITING because now I will get to sing for the celebrity judges! Tauren Wells, Jordan Feliz, Jordan Smith… Half the votes int he next round (round 3) will be the judges (So that means a bit Moree objective!)

But half will still be MY FANS! SO that means I will be asking you one more time to support me!

Here is what is possible (actually- Everything is possible with God!) But here are some of my prayers:

  1. I pray that God will use this opportunity to move the judges, the listeners, even fans or students I haven’t contacted in years- in heart with my messages of Hope in God! The first song was “You Care for Me” about God’s love for us. The second “Follow the Lord” is about what we do with that gift. The next round I will be submitting “You Listen to My Prayers” (a co-write with my producer Neal Merrick Blackwood) all about how God has listened throughout the struggles in my life and he still does listen- to my prayers and yours!
  2. I pray that being heard/ seen in this contest will open doors for me to get my music and our message out to a Wider audience… More listeners online, opportunities to sing for larger audiences.
  3. I pray that it might somehow lead to me collaborating with other talented Christian songwriters/ performers

And Lord, I know that you listen to my prayers.

I can sometimes feel guilty to pray about something as seemingly frivolous as my music career when there are people sick and facing struggles that are so horrible and challenging… then I remember several things:

1.God has given me these gifts of music to bring joy, peace and hope to others facing these challenges- music can sooth the savage beast and bring peace to an anxious heart. Music can open the doors for the gospel in a closed heart.

2. God is BIG! And though I am a 62 year old mom, He can work through me! And if He chooses to do so- we will all know at this point that it was him!

So use me, Lord! Use these songs! Use this contest!
