Yes! The Teacher was very proud!

We had our Spring Recital last week on Sunday May 15th at the lovely little Bennett Library in Billerica.

It was a joy!

Some of my favorite highlights included:

1. “Do Re Mi” done broadway style with Ella, Fiona, Rachel, Sarah, Kylie, Hannah and Caleb! I of course played Julie Andrews!

A group of people standing around in front of windows.

2. Lynne Santos singing “Back To December” by Taylor Swift

3. Don Gibbs always brings something special both with his originals and new versions of Prog rock tunes done with acoustic guitar- this time he sang “From the Beginning”- And “World Stand Still” Way cool!

4. My dear Caleb sang “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” and played the drums (debut) on “Drive My Car” by the Beatles- the latter needed a bit more practice – but he sure was cute!

5. And we can’t forget all 7 songs with my little girls praise team!

6. Ella, Don and Jason ROCKED on “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”!

7. I got to debut two of my new songs again as well: “I’m a Mess” – a snappy little song of confession and gratefulness- wound in with characteristic Julie mischief, and the more serious “Waiting on You”- bound to be an arena rock ballad!

8. Did I mention that my little Hannah sang her now famous “These Boots are Made For Walkin” and stole the show- Again!?

9. The Show ended with all the adults and Ella singing one of my all time favorite songs: “You’ve Got a Friend” done in a cross between Carol King and old East Hill School Vocal Group style! It was beatiful and a great sing along with the audience!

There was much more fun as well- and lots of good food- and finally… Kylie Cadet gets the prize for bringing the most friends and family!!!!

Well done everyone!
