So I went to this teen parent devotional last Friday.  We were running late. This time it was my daughter who had to do one last thing!  These things are so important to get to to make sure I am doing all I can to help my children grow in their faith. I was a bit stressed!

“Don’t stress, I’ve got it covered,” God whispered.

I dropped the kids at the front door and there was a car in the way.  I hit the curb hard! The tire blew- I knew it right away. I limped around the corner into the parking lot and was about to call AAA, when an angel appeared! A brother from the Spanish teen ministry came right over, “Can I help you with that, Sister?”

“Don’t stress, I’ve got it covered,” God said.

Henry changed my tire and I went inside. Thank you, Henry! And I stood in the back ’cause there were no more seats. A man sitting in the back row got up and said, “Have a seat, I need to walk around a bit.”

“Don’t stress, I’ve got it covered,” God reminded.

There was a panel of parents up front who had overcome challenges with their teens but now enjoyed unity in Christ with them. One parent relayed the one thing her college aged son offered as advice to parents for our struggling teens: “Relax!” he entreated! “You have planted the seeds and we will get there in our own time.”

“Don’t stress, I’ve got it covered,” God promised.

Proverbs 22:6  (NIV)

“Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
