Wow how the time flies! I can’t believe it has actually been 10 years (This January 2015) that I have been teaching voice and guitar lessons in Billerica, MA!

At first I just took on a few students to bring in at least something while I was staying home with my baby twins Caleb and Hannah… they napped in one room sharing a wall with my tiny office I then used to teach in! I can still remember teaching a group of three young electric guitarists while they slept through it! No wonder they can sleep through anything today!

Now my voice and guitar studio serves 30 plus students from Billerica and surrounding towns, but also over Skype across the USA! And my students range from age 5- 50plus! I love it!

Here is an article submitted to the Billerica Minute Man paper before our fantastic Student Christmas Recital: “A Kinscheck Student Christmas.”

A Kinscheck Student Christmas!

This Sunday, Dec 7th at 5pm at the First Congregational Church of Billerica Julie Kinscheck will present a delightful Christmas plus program featuring many of her voice and guitar students.

Performers ages 7 to 50 plus will sing or play songs as solos and in various combinations. The first half of the show (The “Plus” part) will feature a variety of songs that aren’t just for the holidays like “Let it Go” from Frozen by Billerica’s young Sofia Rongone, “Play that Funky Music White Girl” played by teen rock guitar student Jenna Gonzalves and “Closer to Fine” by Julie’s women’s guitar class known as “The Rockin’ Moms!” Kinscheck will even be performing one of her original songs: “Hope Faith Love” from her latest CD with a chorus of young students backing her up!

After a delicious intermission of snacks in the parlor, the students will present the second set: All Christmas music! Pieces will range from The Glee version of “All I Want for Christmas is You” by three talented preteen students: Ashley Febles, Emma Dewitt and Sarah Daniel, to “The First Noel” sung by James Jones, the bass singer from the touring a cappella group: Ball In The House.

Kinscheck, a local Billerica Christian recording artist, loves sharing her passion for music with her students. “It’s so rewarding to see them grow both in their skills and confidence!” Julie Kinscheck Voice and Guitar Studio has been training singers and guitarists of all ages 5-though seniors, in Billerica since January 2005. This makes this coming January her 10th anniversary teaching in Billerica!

Students come to her from every different background and skill level. Many adult students decide to begin study with Julie to fulfill a life long desire to play guitar or sing better. She can teach them all the needed rudiments to sing or play well, read music and perform.

Professional vocalists come to Julie to prepare for recording projects, auditions or work on certain vocal techniques that they’d like grow in such as SCAT singing, protecting their voices from vocal blow out or strain, or singing popular music after having classical training only.

Parents send their kids to Julie because she is experienced, patient and a mentor. Some students have been with Julie from young childhood into their teens. Her studio has a reputation also for supporting many parents’ Christian values.

Julie Kinscheck and her husband Ralph are also co-owners of Kinscheck Productions and their independent record label Jharck Records. Together they have produced 3 independent CDs. Their most recent record was entitled: Let My Light Shine with their group LIFLIGHT.

In the near future they hope to expand their production company to develop particularly talented young artists and present them to the music industry as well. Stay tuned!

But for today, Julie is preparing to sing with, direct and accompany her wonderful students at A Kinscheck Students Christmas this Sunday, Dec 7th at 5pm! All are welcome. $10 at the door, $5 for children under 12 and seniors.
